Manifesting Your Destiny

Welcome!  My name is Julie McAllister.  As a mother of children with special needs, I know what it’s like to wonder about the future, whether it is my future or that of my children.  Do you have questions about your life, your past lives, or have blockages you can’t seem to get past?

As a psychic medium, I can help give you those answers by divine insight from our Higher Power (Spirit, Source, God), your spirit guides, and angels.  To get a taste of what I offer, be sure and listen to me Tuesday nights on A1R Psychic Radio either on ITunes (news/talk radio) or streaming live on the A1R Psychic Radio website.  You can also listen to any of my past shows here.

Insight into your questions is given through psychic readings and via Faerie Oracle card readings (similar to a tarot card reading).  Connect with me on Facebook or Twitter for a daily Faerie Oracle card reading.  I also conduct past life analysis via the Akashic Records to determine what challenges from your (or your children’s) past lives are affecting the current life. Energy healing is a safe, gentle form of healing that can be conducted locally or long distance and it can have miraculous effects on recipients.  I offer negative entity clearings and cord cuttings for you, your children, your home or land.  This can often bring miraculous changes in health, emotions, and energy in general.  As a spiritual life coach, I can use the insight we receive to develop a plan of action for you to implement in your own life.  And most of all, I love to teach, so if you want to learn how to become psychic yourself,  learn Reiki healing, empower your own psychic kids (children with special needs often have their own psychic abilities) , or just increase your spirituality, you have absolutely come to the right place!

In meditation, I was directed to use the image of the phoenix rising as the symbol for my logo.  The phoenix is a highly spiritual symbol and an ancient legend; there are a few basic ideas around it.  Phoenix mythology tells that it lives 500-1000 years before it builds a nest of twigs, cassia and frankincense, sets it aflame in order to die and be reborn from the ashes.  As a person living in this world full of greater trials than ever before known or as parents of children with special needs you have experienced the flames of challenge, and now with information from Divine Source, I want to help you rise from the flames to become wiser, better, stronger and more focused on your dreams.

Enjoy my posts, my web site, get yourself scheduled for a psychic reading, an energy healing, or a class, and be sure to sign up in the box to the right to be eligible to win a free psychic reading!  In all these ways, I will help YOU manifest your destiny!

Parents are the child’s first spiritual teacher. Even if your parents were not overtly spiritual, there is no doubt that they influenced your sense of spirituality in some way. So now that you are a parent, you have to make important decisions about how to develop spirituality in your children.

The good news is that children are naturally spiritual. They are naturally intuitive and compassionate, and they are completely open-minded without any hard and fast beliefs. Thus, to a large degree, you can simply let your child’s spiritual development unfold naturally and without much effort on your part.

However, there are some important decisions to make. If you come from a particular spiritual background, you may want to pass on certain beliefs or traditions that you think are important. In this case, I recommend exposing the child to these spiritual elements without forcing the child to accept or embrace anything. Just make it fun, and the child will be naturally curious.

Another powerful tool for the teaching of spirituality is nature. I would even say that nature is far superior to any cathedral or temple for developing one’s spirituality. By spending time in nature, children can learn the very important skill of being. Nature, by its essence, allows people to feel oneness with all of creation, as well as their own true nature. As a parent, there is very little that you need to do to make nature a spiritual experience for children. Most importantly, you can teach them reverence and respect for the earth, making them aware that each step they make can affect the earth. Help them to walk and play in nature without harming it. Beyond that, you may also point out certain things, like the beauty of a sunset or the sound of a babbling brook, but for the most part you can let them explore and discover themselves as they interact with nature.

Another important way of teaching spirituality to children is through example. In a way, everything that you do serves as a spiritual example to children. For example, consider how you respond to difficult things in the presence of your children. Do you become angry easily? Do you insult or berate others in their presence? Do you forgive others easily or do you hold a grudge? All of these behaviors are sending messages to your children about ways of being in the world. If you choose, whenever possible, to be a loving, caring presence, your children will automatically know and understand the value of this.

In the healing work I have done with adults, I have met many that feel hurt by the spiritual teaching they received as a child. Whatever you do, please do not force your child toward any particular form of spirituality. Also, avoid the tendency to make spiritual concepts a matter of right and wrong, for this teaches them to judge themselves and others, rather than to love, which is the real goal of spirituality. As they grow, they will incorporate what feels right at the right time. If they feel pushed, however, they might end up feeling resentful, and as adults they might close down their spiritual side as a result.

Finally, remember that your child’s spirituality is already there in the same way that the oak tree is in the acorn. It’s not really up to you to instill spirituality in your child. Just find ways to allow your child’s spirituality to bloom in its own way and at its own time.

Are Psychic Kids Also Special Needs? Or Is It the Other Way Around?

March 15, 2012

Are empathic children and psychic children also special needs?  Or is it the other way around? How are the two groups related, if at all? I work with a lot of children that are considered to have a special need due to a diagnosis of some sort.  I also work with children who don’t have [...]

Nourishing the Special Needs Mom

Note from Julie:  Before focusing all of my attention on my psychic work, I ran a business focused on self-care for mothers of children with special needs.  I put on a self-care conference that garnered international attention and was life changing for the moms who attended.  When my friend Stephani McGirr contacted me and asked [...]

Reason #2 You Should Listen to Your Spirit Guides

January 30, 2012

What are Spirit Guides anyway?  They are souls that are in the spiritual plane, spiritual beings, Ascended Masters, and so on.  We all have one spirit guide that is not anyone we have known in this lifetime.   This is a soul or spiritual being that committed to being our guide in this lifetime and has [...]

How to: Spiritual Children

January 11, 2012

We live in a small town, far from the type of spiritual churches that I feel correspond to my beliefs.  Therefore, I can’t depend on help from a church family to help me incorporate my spiritual values into our family.  I used to feel guilty about not getting my children to Sunday School every Sunday.  [...]

Can One Person Really Transform the World?

December 7, 2011

Can one person REALLY make a difference?  I mean, we’ve all heard it, but it never seems to apply to us, right?  There are the big names of course, Jesus, Mother Theresa, Dalai Lama, and so on, but what about us as normal, everyday individuals? This weekend, my husband, sons and I went to see [...]
